Christchurch has taken to PechaKucha in a way you'd never expect of a clutch of reticent Kiwis. PKNs have been running in Christchurch since May 2008 and there are plenty of people eager to share their ideas, creative work and passions and plenty more who are interested in listening to them.
We love to mix it up a little and encourage a diverse range of topics and presenters - from artists, engineers, scientists, technophiles, musicians, architects and med school students.
The 22 Feb earthquake has changed the lives of everyone living in Christchurch and although things are more complicated here, we're still organising and people are still attending PechaKucha Nights in our broken yet determined city.
