PechaKucha Night in Xalapa Vol. 8 is coming up, set to happen on October 20 at Pizzeria Giovanni. The skull on the poster is a nod to the upcoming Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead).

PKN Xalapa + Inspire Japan

Xalapa will take part in the Global PechaKucha Day – Inspire Japan event on April 16, and you’ll find details for the event on the poster above. Organizer Ivan Mejia also tells us that he’ll be streaming the event, so look to the Inspire Japan site on that day to find Xalapa and many other cities streaming their local events.

Looks like someone was pretty happy to get a copy of the official PechaKucha Night book, as the photo above shows — actually, we’re pretty sure that’s the organizer of PKN Xalapa. Last week marked Xalapa’s first PechaKucha Night, and from the photos we’ve seen, we have to say we quite like the funky venue where they had the event, a place called Alkimia. We include a few of those photos in this post, but there’s more to see in this Flickr group pool.
