The next PechaKucha Night in Portsmouth, Vol. 10, is set for April 5 at Flatbread Co., and as you’ll find out below from PKN Portsmouth team member Stephanie Cornell, there is something to the fire that you see on the poster above.
This year we are hosting PKNs inspired by the four basic elements, beginning with Fire and following up with Air, Earth and Water later in the year. PKN Portsmouth #10 will be held at the local wood-fired pizza restaurant Flatbread Co. on April 5th and will feature presentations from the community who are connected, however loosely, to the concept of fire. Posters for the entire 2012 series will be hand-drawn by local artist and interactive designer Alfonso Fabrega.
We’re not quite sure why elephants balancing on a ball occupy the front of this flyer for the next PechaKucha Night in Portsmouth (Vol. 6), and sounds like you might have to show up to the event — on June 24 — to find out. It happens at The Portsmouth Gas Light Co.’s third floor nightclub.
PechaKucha Night in Portsmouth gets a nice bit of coverage over at the SeacoastOnline.com site, with that city’s organizer Mike Teixeira interviewed for the piece. PKN Portsmouth Vol. 4 was held earlier this month, and the photo above is from this year’s Vol. 2 edition.
Christmas comes early this year for Portsmouth courtesy of PechaKucha Night Vol. 4, taking place December 3 at The Gas Light Co. (Third Floor Club).
One of the most sacred of PechaKucha Night traditions is of course the “Beer Break,” but Kelly O’Keefe introduced a new concept during her presentation at PKN Portsmouth Vol. 2: the 20-second beer break. Indeed, celebrate!

PechaKucha Night in Portsmouth, New Hampshire Vol. 3 happens tonight (August 27) at the The Portsmouth Gas Light Co. (in the third floor’s nightclub). Here’s also a look at the very nice and summer-y flyer for the event, designed by PKN Portsmouth organizer Mike Teixeira.
Tomorrow night’s PechaKucha Night in Portsmouth NH Vol. 2 (July 8) is indeed heading to “a new space,” this time The Gaslight’s third floor club.
Following a huge snowstorm, over 200 made the trek to attend the inaugural edition of Pecha Kucha Night in Portsmouth, New Hampshire last week. Even better, it looks like everyone is already looking forward to the next edition. From organizer Mike Teixeira:
[We] had a lot of people come up to us and rave about the format and how they would tell their friends to come to the next one. The interest is so strong that we have our speaker list almost filled for the next event and are contemplating a bigger space!
