As organizer Silvana Bergson tells us, it was another great PechaKucha Night for Montevideo — its second — and another great crowd, with the Alliance Francaise packed with over 300 in attendance. The presentations were varied as well, from architecture, robots, and “common sense,” to one that even touched on “2012 end of the world.”

Montevideo is getting ready for its second PechaKucha Night (November 25), and here’s a look at the terrific poster organizers have put together. The design is by Fran, a young Uruguayan illustrator, and as organizer Silvana Bergson Rozenbaum tells us, he “invented Mr. PechaKucha, [who] is now the image of our event and part of our team!”

Last week’s PechaKucha Night debut in Montevideo — the first PKN in Uruguay — not only drew an audience of 300, but it also ended up being an inspirational evening of presentations that left presenters and attendees alike excited about the 20×20 concept and event. Organizer Silvana Bergson Rozenbaum is putting together a video report of the event, which we’ll make sure to post here when done.

Even though the inaugural PechaKucha Night in Montevideo happens tonight — you’ll remember that we put up the poster for the event on Monday — its already been attracting a lot of attention from the Spanish press, including El Pais, Spain’s largest daily. Big thanks to organizer Silvana Bergson Rozenbaum for sending us all the scans.
