The second PechaKucha Night in Lagos takes place this Friday (September 10) at White Space, and organizer Gozi has sent in some image teasers for each of the participating presenters. A last-minute addition is Okhai Ojeikere, an 80 year old photographer Gozi is very excited to see join the event.

PechaKucha Night will be making its debut in Lagos later this month (December 18), and here’s a look at the press release for the event, which gives more details.
PechaKucha Night Vol. 1 is the first PechaKucha in Lagos and Nigeria, where contemporary art in all spheres unite. Presenters for Vol. 1 are talented professionals and include:
Architects: Papa Omotayo and James George
Artists: Richardson Ovbiebo and Megumi Matsubara
Fashion: Gozi Ochonogor and Biki John
Film Producer: Zeb Ejiro
Graphic Designer: Ibukun Oyetunji
Landscape: Jite Brume
Photographers: Tunde Kuboye and Abraham Oghobase
Sound Artist: Emeka Ogboh…with special guest appearances.
Hosting the night is Gozi Ochonogor, a fashion designer based in Japan. Her brand U.Mi-1 (You.Me.One) fuses Nigerian and Japanese culture. With PechaKucha, she brings a piece of Japan to Nigeria. She is joined by Tamilore Kuboye as co-host and Remi Solarin, who completes the team.
PechaKucha Night Vol. 1 promises to be a fantastic night and will help bring the arts which have long been part of Lagos’ fabric to a wider audience. It will be held from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, 18 December, 2009 at the Terrakulture Gallery, Lagos.
