Our final presentation from PechaKucha Night in Johannesburg Vol. 5 is a bit of an irreverent one — OK, maybe actually QUITE irreverent — with Zwai and Phillip sharing with us “Rebuilding, the African Way.” We hope it puts a smile on your face. We’ll end our week of postings on the blog with a trio of presentations taken from PechaKucha Night in Johannesburg Vol. 5, held on February 20 as part of the “Global PechaKucha Night for Haiti.” First up is Studio4332 with a special “Silent salute to Haiti.”

Johannesburg will be joining in on the “Global PechaKucha Night for Haiti” on the 20th, with an event happening at Atlas Studios (Milpark, Studio 3, top gate), from 20:00. Here’s also a look at a terrific teaser video put together by the organizers.
The organizers behind PechaKucha Night in Johannesburg love to release teaser videos before each event, and they’ve put together another one for the upcoming Vol. 4, with the theme of “What is beauty?” The event itself happens this Thursday (December 3) at Atlas Studios.
Last week’s PechaKucha Night in Johannesburg Vol. 3 was a great success, garnering “compliments throughout the day on a superb event with excellent presentations.” Organizer Mary Cassel-Faulks sends in a few photos from the event, and take note that the date for Vol. 4 has already been set: November 26.
We were big fans of the last video that Johannesburg put together before its first PechaKucha Night, and they’ve done it again with a great new “trailer” for Vol. 2, scheduled for July 2.
