It appears that some cities are lucky enough to have multiple posters to choose from when it comes to publicizing their PechaKucha Nights. Such is the case for Durban, with the poster pictured above by Stephanie Mackay not making the cut. Stephanie, we like it too.

Durban is readying its third edition of PechaKucha Night, set to happen at the end of this month (January 28) at the Durban Art Gallery. Going through the list of presenters that appear on the poster — you’ll find links to some of the presenters’ websites on the official event page — it looks like the event will indeed be serving up a rather delicious “slice of your city.”

PechaKucha Night returns to St. Mary’s Church Hall in Durban for the upcoming Vol. 2 (October 8). The theme for the night will be “The City,” which is also reflected in the event’s flyer (above). As organizer Georgie Chennells explains: “we have themed it ‘the city’ and with it is Durban’s famous noisy rodent of the air — the mynah bird! –designed by Kevin Boyd, a local mynah lover…”

The latest city to join the PechaKucha Night family is Durban — that would be city #208 — and they already have their first event lined up: July 9 at St Mary’s Church Hall. With the promise of nice cold beers, how can it not be a success!
