Here’s a look at a second poster that was produced for last month’s PechaKucha Night in Champaign-Urbana Vol. 9, with details from organizer Christina Wondra:
We received this FAN-tastic PechaKucha Night C-U Vol. 9 illustrated poster by local illustrator/designer David Michael Moore. He helps speakers and professionals deliver unforgettable messages by illustrating a visual narrative that elevates their words into art.

PechaKucha Night in Champaign-Urbana Vol. 9 happens this coming Saturday (April 7) at the Krannert Art Museum East Gallery. You’ll find the full list of presenters with links on the official event page. The poster was designed by Jon Frette and Warren Bensken.

Champaign-Urbana is getting ready to host its 7th PechaKucha Night, set for this Friday (July 22) at the Krannert Center Amphitheatre (an outdoor event) — you’ll find the full list of presenters on the official event page. The poster for the event was designed by co-organizer Anastasia Tumanova.

Champaign-Urbana held its PechaKucha Night Vol. 6 this past Saturday, and here’s a look at the poster that was produced for the event. The event had a theme of bringing together design alums and professors from the University of Illinois, and we’re happy to note that our good friends Chris Palmieri and Ryan Ruel of Tokyo-based design studio AQ were part of the lineup.

As we posted earlier this week, the next PechaKucha Night in Champaign-Urbana (Vol. 5) is happening this Saturday (March 5), but today we take a look at last year’s PKN Champaign-Urbana Vol. 4, courtesy of organizer Christina Tapp, with photos by Chris Perardi.
The Champaign-Urbana Design Org partnered with Krannert Center for the Performing Arts for PKN C-U Vol. 4. Held in July 2010 at Krannert’s outdoor Amphitheatre, DJ Mertz kicked off the show by spinning on the terrace to over 400 people, and the irresistible and scandalous Andy Warfel emceed once again!

And since we posted an event review for PechaKucha Night in Champaign-Urbana Vol. 2 earlier today, let’s also share this presentation, “Goats, Cheese, and Love,” by farmers Wes Jarrell and Leslie Cooperband.
Wes Jarrell & Leslie Cooperband, the proud owners of Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery, talked about making artisan and farmstead goat and sheep milk cheeses, raising organic fruits and hosting all-local foods dinners on their farm—in a poem!
