PKN Brisbane’s Luke Pendergast

PKN Brisbane

In this presentation, PechaKucha Night in Brisbane team member Luke Pendergast comes to Tokyo and shows everyone how Brisbane runs and fosters the local creative community through PechaKucha Nights. It was recorded at PechaKucha Night in Tokyo Vol. 90.

PKN Brisbane + Inspire Japan

PKN Brisbane + Inspire Japan

Brisbane’s special Inspire Japan event takes place tonight (April 13) at the Brisbane Powerhouse’s Turbine Hall. The event — which is also the city’s Vol. 21 — will include a raffle, with all prizes coming from previous PKN Brisbane presenters. As the organizers tell us, it’s “a weird and wonderful prize pool!” The poster was designed by Jacque Prior.

PechaKucha Night in Brisbane Vol. 15 happens tonight (March 24), at the always popular Brisbane Powerhouse (Turbine Platform). From the presenters listed on the flyer (above), it looks like a promising night of presentations — here’s hoping we get to find out what a web psychologist actually does! The evening will also be promoting the “PechaKucha for Haiti” reconstruction efforts.

PechaKucha Night in Brisbane Vol. 13 happens tomorrow night (September 2), again at the beautiful Brisbane Powerhouse, and one of the presenters set to participate is designer Georgi Lewis. Pictured above, her latest work, a set of children’s chairs and table cut form one single sheet of sustainable plywood — everything fits together without the use of glue or screws.

PKN Brisbane Returns to the Powerhouse

PKN Brisbane Vol. 3

PechaKucha Night in Brisbane Vol. 11 is just around the corner — tomorrow night, actually — and as usual will be held at the Brisbane Powerhouse. This then gives us an excuse to show a photo of what looks like an amazing venue, taken during Vol. 3.
