Last month’s PechaKucha Night in Gothenburg Vol. 15 was held as part of the Kulturkalaset cultural city festival, and a recommendation in the local newspaper ended up giving the event a record breaking audience of 620, 50% of that first-time PKN attendees. Here’s more from organizer Jesper Larsson.
Lots of great presentations, and our first TED talker on stage (!!), Magnus Larsson, who presented on how one can stop the desertification with the help of bacteria. Carina Sundqvist talked about her mission to create sustainable tourist experiences, such as guided tours in Gothenburg. Afterwards, her beacon tour in the archipelago was picked up by the local tourist board!!

Jens Thoms Ivarsson made his second appearance on the PechaKucha GBG stage and presented his ideas, and how everybody speaks about how they GET ideas, not about who or what GIVES them the ideas. Evelina Wahlqvist used Sex & The City as a metaphor when speaking about women’s part in relation to the modern city. Finnur Sverrisson gave examples of how to be more creative and have more fun at work — one tip was to always snap a picture of yourself and attach to emails so the recipien can see what you looked like while writing it!
