PechaKucha Night V.03 headlines the Grand Opening of Club Peoria
Now in over 180 cities worldwide, the global phenomenon PechaKucha Night is returning with V.03 on Thursday, March 19 The past two Volumes of the event were attended by hundreds of designers, artists, professionals and their colleagues to share and talk about their work. PechaKucha Night Volume 03 will take place in El Paso’s newest night club, Peoria on its opening night. Peoria is located at 3233 N. Mesa St (Formerly 101). Confirmed presenters for PKN V.03 include Alejandra Dozal, Patty Aleman, Sandra Salas, Marisol Lopez, Victor Guerrero, Wayne Hilton, Wendy Reyes, Eddie Marquez, Maritza Jauregui and Edson Gardea. The confirmed presenters represent photography, arts and culture, visual effects and graphic design. PKN V.03 is looking like an incredibly exciting event. Don't miss it! Come early. Come thirsty. Bring your friends. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Pecha Kucha Night V.02 crowded Vanilla Bar on December 11 with local Creative Talent.
On December 11 Pecha Kucha Night returned to El Paso. Pecha Kucha Night V.02 was hosted at Vanilla Bar in the Union Plaza district where 10 creative presenters shared their work to a packed crowd of designers, artists, colleagues and other professionals. Pecha Kucha Night V.02 highlighted a diverse group of local talents including presentations from: Gilbert Chavarria, digitalstorm studios; Maritza Jaurequi, Artist; Robert Tibuni, Vaboom Studios; Alice Leora Briggs, Border Art Residency; Wayne Hilton, ASA Architects; Christopher Jones, New Hero Pictures; Martha Arzabala, Artist; Ray Sanchez/Josh Webb, Ghostlight Creative; Troy Ainsworth, City of El Paso Historic Preservation; William Helm, ASA Architects. El Paso joined four other cities (Bahia Blanca, Porto, Hamamatsu and Bratislava) which also participated in the global “Conversation” on December 11

Call for Presenters for Pecha Kucha Night Vol. 2
Do you have a passion for your work or hobby? Well... Pecha Kucha Night just may be the perfect forum for you to share it with the others. The format is pretty simple - you will have 20 seconds for each of 20 slides to give your presentation. That is 6 minutes and 40 seconds of fame for you! The first Pecha Kucha Night El Paso was held in July to a packed house. This is a call for designers, artists, and other creative types to entertain, inform, and delight the Borderland community. You’d better hurry though, the deadline to submit your entry is Dec 4, 2008.
